Christmas greetings from Reside Communities CEO Glen Brown

As we draw closer towards the end of the year, I’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on our collective achievements – those of our residents, staff and stakeholders – and thank you for your continued support in helping us to create vibrant communities.

This year we experienced a slow return to normality as COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. Our residents have enjoyed making the most of their ‘new normal’ lifestyles with events and activities once again a regular occurrence within our communities.

It has also been a very successful year for progress of our new communities, Fairway Carindale and Esperance Hope Island, and the expansions of Samford Grove and Brookland Robertson.

We are very pleased to have completed the first stage of our $40m community expansion at Brookland Robertson.

Our new community Clubhouse is now a thriving hub of activity with residents enjoying the five-star amenities including the health club with indoor therapy pool and gymnasium, bar and lounge, café, and hair and beauty salon. We have now begun to welcome our newest residents who are enjoying their brand-new apartments and community facilities.

At Samford Grove new homes continue to be snapped up quickly. Our teams are working hard to complete the final homes of Stage Two of the community expansion and with civil works now complete on Stage Three, allowing us to begin construction on the first homes of this stage. We are also excited to have been a finalist for Seniors Living in the coveted 2022 UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence – an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without our amazing residents, team and stakeholders.

Works at Fairway Carindale are also progressing well with the adjoining underground car park for Pacific Golf Club nearing completion, allowing for much needed additional club member and visitor parking. Construction works are progressing well on our first 2 retirement building Aster and Ivy, with structures of both buildings coming out of the ground. We thank our neighbours for their continued patience and understanding as we bring our vision for Fairway Carindale to life, while working hard to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Construction progress of Esperance’s first stage, Esprit, has reached an exciting milestone with the top level now complete. Works are now commencing to bring the five-star amenities and residences to life. Stage Two, Essence, has already been well received with 23 luxury residences already sold prior to public launch.

This year also saw Reside Communities form meaningful partnerships within our local communities. One very close to our hearts is our partnership with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation – a collaboration that encourages residents to have important conversations with grandchildren about community safety.

We are pleased to end this year on a positive note and look forward to welcoming in the new year with our current, and soon-to-be residents.

On behalf of everyone at Reside Communities, we wish you and your loved ones a joyous and safe Christmas, and a happy New Year.
